The story of acou.space
From the Founder, Charlotte Trudgen
“I’ve always loved large spaces.
My dad was an architect, my husband is an architect, and so are my sister and her husband!
I was, up until 5 ½ years ago, a commercial interior designer, and it all changed for me whilst designing interiors for a large new-build church in Leeds, bridge community church. many different areas were designed, including a 1000-seat auditorium, meeting rooms, community rooms, café, children’s rooms, WCS, counselling rooms, etc.
Whilst paying attention to the sound as well as creating an excellent and meaningful interior, each room became coherent and super useful – people want to use the spaces!
The scheme was a great success, and I developed a love of acoustic finishes.
So, acou.space was created in 2018 to design and supply original acoustic products for commercial and public spaces.
acou.space now works with interior designers, architects and fit-out companies to bring fresh ideas into commercial interiors.
We are designers and love to design new products as well as assist busy designers, with whom I speak the same language and also share the same software, etc.”
Our
promise

We are an Acoustic Design House working to deliver exceptional noise-restoring products, but first and foremost — we are a place where everyone is welcome. We treasure our clients and partners, but do not shy away from being candid and always put you first.
