Our Story
acou.space began with a simple idea: that sound matters as much as sight in how we experience a space. Our founder, Charlotte Trudgen, discovered this truth while designing a large community building, where she saw first-hand how thoughtful acoustic finishes could transform not only how a space looked, but how it felt.
What started as a passion soon became a practice. Since 2018, acou.space has been designing and supplying original acoustic products that bring comfort, calm, and clarity to commercial and public spaces across the UK and beyond. Rooted in a background of architecture and interior design, our approach is creative, practical, and always people-focused.

Design with Care
For us, good design is more than just appearance. It’s about creating spaces where people feel at ease. Every project is an opportunity to combine beauty with purpose, drawing on our design expertise to craft solutions that are both functional and elegant.
We work closely with interior designers, architects, and fit-out companies, speaking the same creative language and sharing the same tools, but always keeping the end user in mind. Whether through custom pieces or carefully considered finishes, our goal is to make spaces that people want to use, again and again.
“I’ve always loved large spaces. My background in interior design taught me how sound shapes our experiences; how it makes a café inviting, a workplace calmer, or a community hall more welcoming. At acou.space, we create products that don’t just restore sound, but restore balance. So people can truly enjoy the spaces they’re in.”
